Adaptive control for a signalised corridor still running fixed timing plans set once a year.

What we built

Roadside sensing feeds a model of what the corridor is about to do, and the signals retime themselves each cycle against it.

  1. 01Sense

Cameras read speed, position and vehicle class along the approach — not just whether something is sitting on the stopbar.

  2. 02Predict

Arrivals at the next junction are forecast minutes ahead from the flow the sensors just measured.

  3. 03Control

Green splits and offsets are rewritten every cycle across the corridor, then held to the safety envelope.

  • Python

  • Postgres

The plans used to be retimed once a year. Now the corridor retimes itself every cycle.
